All martial arts instruction at Napa Taekwondo Academy in Napa, CA ensure that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun.
Our instruction is focused on more than just teaching martial arts skills. We strive to tailor our martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual child. Emphasis is put on encouragement and positive correction.
We are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student. Through weekly martial arts training, we advance our own martial art and educational knowledge to become even more effective at martial arts instruction.
The Napa Taekwondo Academy Black belts are required to maintain their personal level of martial arts knowledge and a high level of personal growth. They are expected to take classes on a regular basis and be evaluated at least once per year.

Terry Brule began his study of Martial arts in 1990 under Phillip Fontaine and Grandmaster S.W. Lee (the founder of Taekwondo in Napa). In 1993 he began teaching kids & adults at the Public schools. Our Academy opened in 2005.
Master Brule holds international Sixth-degree Black belt and Master Instructor licensing through the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon), located in Seoul, Korea. He is a Certified Referee and a USAT Level-1 Coach.
Master Brule is a 1980 graduate of the Napa school system, with a diploma from the Phoenix Institute of Technology. āIām committed to providing opportunities for others to attain empowerment, self-awareness, and happiness through the amazing journey that martial arts have to offer.ā
