INSTRUCTOR
All martial arts instruction at Napa Taekwondo ensures that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun.
Our instruction is focused on more than just teaching martial arts skills. We strive to tailor our martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual child. Emphasis is put on encouragement and positive correction.
We are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.
Our martial art of Taekwondo is a Korean form of karate, and is known for its powerful kicks and agility, with an emphasis on speed and high-flying techniques. Defensive in nature, taekwondo is more aerobically beneficial, and is the only form of karate included in the Olympic games.
Master Terry Brule began his study of Martial arts in 1990 under Phillip Fontaine and Grandmaster S.W. Lee (the founder of Taekwondo in Napa). In 1993 he began teaching kids & adults at the Public school facilities through the Recreation Dept. He opened a commercial location in 2005.
Master Brule holds international Sixth-degree Black belt and Master Instructor licensing through the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon), located in Seoul, Korea. He is a Certified Referee and a USAT Level-1 Coach.
Master Brule is a graduate of the Napa school system, with a diploma from the Phoenix Institute of Technology.
